On September 17, 2011, Saad Ahmad and Richard Turner, Associates from Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, were named the Blakes 2011 Diversity Champions, in part for their significant involvement with LAWS. The award is presented to one or more members of the firm who have taken steps to promote diversity at Blakes, within the broader legal profession or their communities.
