Alumnus and former U of T law dean Ron Daniels, JD 1986, was named a Member of the Order of Canada, one of more than 40 alumni and faculty of the University of Toronto to receive the notable award. As dean, Daniels launched Canada’s only post-graduation debt relief program and some of the law school’s most celebrated and award-winning public interest programs, such as Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS), Pro Bono Students Canada, and the International Human Rights Program (IHRP).
